About Gerald Molloy

Bio

Dr. Molloy has extensive training and experience in complex neurosurgery and employs the utmost technical standards while developing a customized treatment plan for his patients. He is experienced in a variety of newest techniques on the “cutting Edge” of complex spine. While Dr. Molloy is an elite neurosurgeon, he practices patient-centered care to ensure the patient and the family is actively involved in his or her treatment plan.

Dr. Molloy earned his medical degree at George Washington University, Washington, D.C. He completed a surgical internship and Neurosurgical residency at the University Hospitals of Cleveland, Cleveland, OH with special emphasis on complex spine and additional experience in pediatric neurosurgery. He served as a Neurosurgeon in the United States Air Force and later as Chief of Neurosurgery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana until taking a faculty position as with the University of South Florida Department of Neurosurgery and Brain Repair.

Dr. Molloy , as assistant professor of Neurosurgery with USF, teaches future generation of neurosurgeons and has been instructor for medical students from the American University of the Caribbean and University of Tulane Medical School. In addition, he has served as an instructor for minimally invasive and endoscopic neurosurgery for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
